I am very new to the Linux thing, and have had a few glitches in
configuring the system. If anyone could help me I would be very grateful.

I would like to be able to contact the outside world, so:

The installation identified my pcmcia card and that there was a 3com
card attached, but was not happy with the type:

FE575C - 3COM : Can I just use one of the other listed cards, or do I
need a different driver, in which case any ideas on where I can find one?

The other problem also connected to the outside world is the modem. I
cannot dial out, and I looking for where I can configure the modem or
find out how to do this..

Actiontec 56k - is this just a configuration problem, or drivers?

Sound: ESS Maestro PCI Audio (WDM) - it did not like my picking Maestro
1/2/2E in the sound card section. I think I tried the other Maestro
selection, with the same result. I assume that the sound card is
running directly from the board, rather than through something like the
pcmcia card.(I am hopeless on laptop architecture).

Any help would be totally appreciated, as I would like to get to grips
with the system and possibly start doing development for the platform in
the future.

Thanks in advance,

Rohan
