I just downloaded *.deb's for abiword and gnumeric. I went to dpkg -i them, but I
recieved dependancy errors. Shouldn't dpkg just download and install the dependacies?
Or is that only apt-get?
Anyway I notice that abiword (0.7.12) needs glibc 2.2. Do I have to upgrade to woody
to get 2.2? Anyone know of source for potato glibc 2.2? or is this a bad idea?
I will not worry about gnumeric. According to dpkg, looks like the newest version
(0.61) needs half of GNOME (which I don't run).
The newer versions of both AbiWord and Gnumeric offer significant improvements over
the versions mirrored by Storm. If anyone has them up and going, please fill me in on
your sources.
