"Could you provide more info regarding your machine and its components.
Charles (-: "
matsonic 8127c m/b w/ award bios, dc310 scsi-controller, yamaha 8424 scsci cdr, 128MB

hdd,
onboard ata66 controller, onboard floppy controller, onboard sound, usb, serial x2,
and paralell.
I had the zip, scsi controller, and cdr working fine on my old machine. If you need
to know anything
else let me know.
I did some SLU archive reading this afternoon and it appears that scores of other
people have had this
problem, and no one has reported a real sol'n. I have tried text install, full
install, custon install, typical
install, etc. No go. I am going to try fooling w/ bios but it looks doubtful.
To bad I through away my 'Rain' cd. It may have worked.
