Ramdisk error during installation usually indicates a hardware problem.

The first thing I would look at is the IRQ assignments for your vid card and
your scsi controller and verify that they are not trying to share the same.

If there are no problems there then check the IRQs for all your devices.

If none of the above can shed any light on the problem a test you can
perform to see if it is caused by something inherent to your system is to
disconnect all your devices except for your floppy, hd, vid card, and if you
have or can borrow one connect an ide cd-rom as second
master and then run the installation using just those components.
