WHO CO : 9------> 7 ppm is theoretic .! Practic is : China is selling UNTESTED TO LOW QUALITY CO Detectors to 90 % of the fortunated people for 40 $ . In sealed package ! You cannot see the sensitivity ! Mostly alarm 50ppm after 2hours .. Exemple Detector CO338 EC was a useless shipment to our country ! All returned to China . Fals alarm after 20' .! After 2 weeks I could repair one from a WRONG component . Resistor in sted a capacitor in the Fet input microprocessor . 300 pages to read . No schematic . No answer from supplier nor China constructor was possible . It was not possible to repair a second the same way ! Different high impedance 22Mohm . Chemical CO sensors cannot be stored more then 1-3 months without supply .!!! Life time 5 years . England sells better detectors with concentration display prior to the alarm . 60 $ THE MINIMUM YOU MUST BUY ! A CO detector giving alarm at 7ppm within 10 minutes is an ILLUSION or may cost 1500 $ A FIGARO combustible gas sensor type 811 sensible to CO is FASTER in response ,but the zero is a floating limite ! Used with ampli uA 741. My conclusion: the gas sensor is SAFER ! 50ppm gives immediately alarm and a CO detector after 2 hours . Fals alarm from cigarette smoke .is for free . NEVER BUY a DETECTOR without knowing alarm ppm figur and response time for that concentration . SURE 90 % OF CO DETECTORS OWNERS use FALSE HOPE . Be warned for CHINESE JUNCK.
