Quid Pro Doe: The act of politicians or their appointees making stupid decisions to win favor in the form of political contributions, or other perks from corporations or individuals who would be silly not to support these crafty profession politicians with their spin machines. (embellished a bit) No proof of intent on the part of the politician, or the corporation is required, only the fact that the two things happened a decision was made or not made (asemoffs) and favor received.

Why have this definition, It prevents slander and liable from unprovable accusations (Quid Pro Quo), but still gets the point across, thus allowing the following discussion to take place. there are many examples of QPD in the archives here and else where. I'm not interested in adding more of those to this thread, but would rather find ways we can change things for the better.

Question How do we keep score of the QPD (Quid Pro Doe)?

Question How do we prevent QPD?
one way to help that I've mentioned before is to abolish the Cities ambush agenda item, unless there is an emergency. Emergency defined as natural disaster, terrorist attacks, or other such things. This would guarantee the possibility of public notice to city council agenda items.

With this stadium thing going on across the river, there talking about sales tax with no voter referendum, we have had similar discussions on this side of the river, can we ask our politicians to pass laws preventing this, or get a referendum of our own for this purpose?

Question If there aren't any laws that can be passed to prevent QPD, how do inform the public, so they can use this information when voting. I'm looking for something non-partisan like fact check.com
