[ http://mc4j.org/jira/browse/STS-440?page=comments#action_10920 ] Gregg Bolinger commented on STS-440: ------------------------------------
Have you checked out the COS license? Permission is granted to use the com.oreilly.servlet.* packages in the development of any non-commercial project. For this use you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable limited license at no cost. For a commercial project, permission is granted to use the com.oreilly.servlet.* packages provided that every person on the development team for that project owns a copy of the book Java Servlet Programming (O'Reilly) in its most recent edition. The most recent edition is currently the 2nd Edition, available in association with Amazon.com at http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0596000405/jasonhunter. Other (sometimes cheaper) license terms are available upon request; please write to [EMAIL PROTECTED] for more information. Just too restrictive for me. And there's more to it. You should read it. I'd think this would be something we need more input on. Hopefully more folks will comment on this. > Remove COS File Upload > ---------------------- > > Key: STS-440 > URL: http://mc4j.org/jira/browse/STS-440 > Project: Stripes > Issue Type: Improvement > Affects Versions: Release 1.5 > Reporter: Gregg Bolinger > Assigned To: Tim Fennell > Priority: Trivial > > I propose cos file upload be removed as the default and commons-fileupload be > the default. The cos license is very restricting and doesn't fit well with > Stripes apache 2.0 license. This also removes the need to configure the > StripesFilter for something everyone is probably using. > cos can still be an option. Just not the default. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://mc4j.org/jira/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
