http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=21949 Multiple Modules : Action Chaining with ForwardAction gives 404 error Summary: Multiple Modules : Action Chaining with ForwardAction gives 404 error Product: Struts Version: 1.1 Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: Other Component: Controller AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] I get a 404 error when I try to do action-chaining using ForwardAction. This was working fine, when I had a single configuration file. I split up the configuration file. When an action forwards to a JSP directly, it works ok. When an action forwards to an user-defined action class, it works ok. But, when an action forwards to another action of type ForwardAction, I get a 404 error. Here are the details: Inside web.xml: --------------- <init-param> <param-name>config/admin</param-name> <param-value>/WEB-INF/struts-admin.xml</param-value> </init-param> Inside struts-admin.xml ----------------------- <action path="/list" type="xxx.yyy.zzz.ListAction"> <forward name="add" path="/add.jsp"> <!-- THIS WORKS OK --> <forward name="edit" path="/showEdit.do"> <!-- 404 ERROR --> </action> <action path="/showEdit" type="org.apache.struts.actions.ForwardAction"> <parameter="/edit.jsp"> </action> Presently, my work-around is to use my own action class instead of ForwardAction. But, I had to spend a lot of time debugging. ;-) (with help from Steve). --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
