That's a pretty good suggestion. The only aspect of the problem this doesn't seem to cover nicely is the direct object transfer from child A to child B. This form of transfer is of the "object-sharing" kind, but I'm not sure publishing is the right term to cover it. I would be quite happy to describe all aspects of the Journal interface for making things public as publishing, though.
