I just spoke on IRC with the original requester, Raul. He says that the feature seemed cool, but it was developed before the roll-out so it could not be tested on actual users. On the other hand, I have evidence that the feature causes trouble in the classroom: in Mozambique, several children from 3rd, 4th and 5th grade called the technicians to report that their laptop wouldn't speak any more. Since this was the first week for everyone, the technicians were also unsure what how to solve the problem and called me. The first time, it took me one minute or two to figure out what had gone wrong.
