Hi Christian, yes yo would need both outputs and merge them later. Also there has been added some filter functionality to the fcd output recently http://sumo.dlr.de/wiki/Simulation/Output/FCDOutput#Filtering_.2F_Restricting_Output. Maybe that helps.
