I’ve reverted the fox toolkit to 1.6.46 (which was the MacPorts version for the last few years) and sumo-gui now starts correctly. Here is the procedure (all done with the MacPorts github repo and sudo): port uninstall sumo fox cd /opt/local/var/macports/sources/github.com/macports/macports-ports/x11/fox # git log . # <== select the likely previous version git checkout 34b30703366e8483e99040b52e8fb905bc9b27e8 . port install fox sumo btw, on my system with 617 MacPorts packages installed, only sumo uses the fox port.
