Dear list members,

I am quite new of this list, so I don't know if this topic has been
already discussed.
I would like to make a sundial on a west declining wall of my house, but
I have some problems in the measurement of the declination angle of the
wall. I have used different methods: a vertical stylus, an horizontal
one, the angle formed by the shadow of a gnomon and the perpendicular to
the wall at the real noon of the place, but I have always obtained
different results (up to 8 degrees).
Can you help me suggesting me which is the best method for the measure?

Thank You in advance

Guido Flamini
