At the risk of stating the obvious ... you do know of Mrs.
Gatty's Book of Sundials. This is actually a collection of sundial mottoes
in alphabetical order, with sites and dates where available. Mostly
England, but a few elsewhere (as I recall). There are four editions,
around 1900.
