You are right. In french "millenium" is spelt  with one "n". But it is not
used with the english meaning of a thousand year period. Instead we use
"millénaire" (both words have the same latin origin). In french "millenium"
means a mythic thousand years reign waited by some religious people : the
Messiah would reign for thousand years before the Last Judgment; and at the
same time it would be something like a Golden Age.
