Hi Fernando (and All),
This time of year, when DST arrives, I always harken back
to my design school days. We always seemed to have way too much work to do
for the time alotted, time consuming work such as full color renderings
(artwork) and product prototype models, and we wound up having to pull alot of
"all-nighters" to get it all done. I can remember when we would be
working away in the studio at around 2:00 AM, fighting a losing battle
against time anyway with a critique looming large on Monday, and then the magic
moment came and poof - an hour was simply gone! We were robbed! We
all used to get a bit emotional at that point...
Now that the heat is off, I do enjoy having the extra time to
go home from work and get the lawn mowed or ride bikes with my kids before
dark. I agree that our inner clocks tend to track with the sun,
because I have been camping for extended periods and have experienced the
natural adjustment to wake at sunrise and sleep at sunset. There
just seems to be something satisfying about tracking with the sun.
But I do kind of wish that it was a perfect world and sundials
read properly all year round...especially in the summertime when garden dial
watching is in season. Now that I have been on the list long enough I know
how to compensate for the complexities that man has introduced into the
system...Thanks All!
