Thanks for alerting me to the previous theft. (That explains a
thing I'd found puzzling: why the fullsize picture was blown up past
its original resolution and therefore looks bad. I do find all
kinds of sites decorating themselves with my feathers, some of which
have cost me a fair amount of work and money.
The matter of control is well known; that doesn't make other
people's work fair game -- and the same "loss of control"
now exists with movies, music, and books; the courts are still taking
a very dim view of piracy.

Not true. Copyright is explicitly addressed on every webpage, to
them that can read; also, current international copyright law no
longer requires such a notice, nor even of authorship. To us honest
people, this is very irritating since it makes it very hard to track
down the person from whom to ask permission.
