I think you got just about all the information you need by now.

 

While it is certainly cautious and good practice to use non-compressed
formats, that may be asking a bit much of the system.

I have no problems personally with the JPEG format (*.jpg), provided the
picture was ‘jpegged’ using a reasonably high ‘quality’ setting.

In some programs, this corresponds to a reasonably low compression setting.

With the quality up to ‘100%’ (don’t take this literally), you will still
save a lot of storage space and picture delay during shows, without paying
for it in terms of visible deterioration.

 

You may want to try this out, too, i fit Works for you might want to know
that.
