To each his own; it depends, of course, on what you want to express.

Where climate is concerned, we in The Netherlands apparently recognize three 
seasons:

July, August, and Autumn.

 

Actually, the difference is not that great: August is slightly cooler than 
July, and Autumn is cooler still, but more importantly, much wetter.

Some provinces still count Spring. Last year , if I remember correctly, it was 
a Thursday.

well,  March in Phoenix can seem like summer, February like Spring. Fall in mid 
November, winter in December :)
