However, I think that he no longer uses 'E-mail' (which is probably why he is not on this Mailing List) - though Frank King should most certainly be able to confirm how the design indicates correct CLOCK time, although sundial 'purists' will say it should be SOLAR time ! If these "Sunclock" layouts were NOT accurate, then I could imagine that they would not have become so popular all over the world - and the website I gave (www.sunclocks.com), shows hundreds of pictures. Because these seem to overcome all the problems associated with any 'traditional' Analemmatic layout - people get to know that sundials CAN tell time accurately enough (at least within the width of their own shadow), plus is perhaps why they are featured in School-books. If anyone else has comments (or some questions), then please get in touch with Douglas Hunt DIRECT - as I am not able to offer specific advice on "Sunclocks", and do not want to supply wrong information. The only reason that I had replied to an original posting, by Brian Albinson (about 'double' Analemmas) - was to indicate that doing so appears to confuse people, but without giving any greater accuracy. My opinion, is that Analemmas should NOT appear on any Analemmatic. I believe that Roger Bailey would consider Helmut Sonderegger to be the "go to" person for any Analemmatic layout, plus appears to have something 'against' Doug Hunt - although that does not diminish the value of the contribution Mr Hunt has made to popularising sundials all around the world, particularly within the 'Educational Sector'. Lastly, I have no desire to create any 'confict' between members of this Mailing List - but I have noticed in the past that any persons who would tend to 'support' Doug Hunt, were quickly "shouted down". I could only imagine that it is caused by jealousy of his success ! In terms of the 'volume' of interactive Human Sundial layouts which could be directly attributed to Mr Hunt, there cannot be many other diallists who can match these - even though "Modern Sunclocks" only offers customized layout 'Plans', with no actual involvement in how those installations are created (chosen by the clients themselves).
