Thanks Michael, I am working on Debian too, but I couldn't understand your suggestion about installing package libsasl7 since it isn't in Sarge. Now I downloaded sasl7 from Woody and now a stopped to a new problem. X is correctly setup and the display manager wait for a login. The keyboard isn't correctly mapped and I see these lines in syslog: wdm: Can't open /var/dt/st.8 wdm: Cannot open config file.
