The Barrier mechanism only comes into play when you want to *downgrade*
firmware.  A Sun Ray will always accept firmware whose Barrier value is 
equal to or greater than the Barrier value of its current firmware.  You
only need to set a BarrierLevel in DHCP if you want your Sun Ray to 
accept firmware whose Barrier value is lower than the value of its 
current firmware.

The 1.2 firmware in Edvin's Sun Ray is so old that it doesn't know
about the Barrier anyway.  It's willing to accept any firmware, even
1.1 or 1.0 firmware.  The Barrier was introduced in 2.0.
