Seamless mode means not getting a full desktop on the remote server. So
the application you are running on the remote server appears to be like
any other application you are running locally. In this case that would
mean still having X-Windows + a window manager running locally [if you
never needed to change windows you might be able to get away with not
having a window manager -- try e.g. running rdesktop in failsafe mode.
