Jimmy, I had the same exact problem you described. I also found a "failed to open named pipe" errors in the /var/log/user.log file.
After some more digging online, I found the solution: look at the group perms on /etc/opt/SUNWut/utadmin.conf (mine had a group ownership of sys) run this: chgrp utadmin /etc/opt/SUNWut/utadmin.conf After this change, reload the web page, and the login screen appears! HTH, -Kristen
