Hi list, i just installed SRSS 3.1.1 on SuSE Linux 9.3. I've been looking into the mailing list archives, but i haven't found solutions to the following problems:
- When starting larger graphical programs (openoffice, firefox) sometimes users have small black stripes on their DTUs. It looks to me like there is a network shortage, although the server has a dedicated gigabit connection for only 13 DTUs. Changing the server network card and switch didn't help. Desktop is kde. Has anybody ever seen this? - i can't get utfwadm to work, it aborts with "Unsupported platform". Will removing the power cords (and plugging them in again) from the DTUs have the same effect as running utfwadm (installing new firmware versions)? - DTUs don't always blank the screens when the users see the gdm login screen. In kde blanking screen works fine though. In my /etc/X11/gdm/SunRayInit/Default/helpers/XSetup i have: xset -dpms xset s on xset s default xset s 15 30 When i'm at the gdm login screen, i can see that xscreensaver starts, but it stops after some milliseconds.
