if the server is an x86 machine then make sure that you
have at least the 3.1 -05 patch installed. -05 delivers the
fix for CR 6306412, "KDE display is corrupt under
numerous and quick graphic changes". The synopsis is
misleading; the problem was first reported under KDE but
can occur on any little-endian system.
