I would look for messages in the standard syslog files that indicate
out-of-resource conditions like disk space or VM.
Next time this happens, before doing an SRSS restart, look closely
at the state of the system.
Are you using the JRE supplied with SRSS, or the one supplied with
RHEL? Be sure to use the one supplied with SRSS, or a newer one
from java.sun.com.

I have a RHEL 3AS server with SRSS 3.1. We have not changed anything major
on this machine for some time and everything has been working quite nicely
for 12 months. In fact, the only thing I have changed is to install the
freeglut and freeglut-devel rpm's. Over the last week or two all my Sunray
devices have been coming up with the hour glass box and will not reconnect
until I issue a warm restart of the SunRay services (the the web console).
Then everything is fine for another day or two. The only error I see in
/var/opt/SUNWut/log/messages appears to be:
utauthd: Worker4 UNEXPECTED: during send to: java.net.Soc
[EMAIL PROTECTED] error=java.net.SocketException: Connection reset
Aug 6 05:02:02 radius utauthd: Worker4 NOTICE: DESTROY pseudo.0003ba2a5060life
time=17298
I'd really appreciate any insight. Thanks in advance!!
