Hi Luis,

It appears that all folders (Pool, Pool-Dynamic, Pool-Static) are empty. That is the reason, why you don't get any virtual desktops displayed on your Sun Ray.

Your template setting is set to the wrong object. It points to a folder 'Golden Master', instead it should point to 'xp-gold'. Just correct the setting in the vda.properties:
Pool.Template0 = "/Datacenter/vm/Templates/Golden Master/xp-gold"
Pool.Template1 = "/Datacenter/vm/Templates/Golden Master/xp-gold"

and restart the service. Thereafter you should see that new Vms are created automatically. Once this is done, the vms are moved out of the factory, you should be able to connect to the vms.

Hi Luis,

Although your service seems to run fine, can I have log at a screenshot
of VC with a folder view. This might help to analyze problems further.

Thanks,
  Dirk

Hi Dirk,

The Virtual Center is installed in the Windows XP SP2 without Firewall

Feature.
(attach at this mail: Firewall configure, Virtual Center)

The problem is, the VI-CLIENT in Solaris 10/X86, can't communicate with VDA-SERVICE.

I can the test VDA-SERVICE successfully:

C:\sun-vda\bin>vda-service test

C:\sun-vda\bin>Agent port: 3809
Web service URL: http://lcampos/sdk
User: lcampos
Password provided
VM startup timeout: 60 seconds
RDP port: 3389
RDP connection timeout: 30 seconds
Time before recycle: 5 minutes
VM Recycle period: 5 minutes
VM creation period: 5 minutes
- Unable to find required classes (javax.activation.DataHandler and javax.mail.i nternet.MimeMultipart). Attachment support is disabled. Cluster path: /Datacenter/host/Desktops Assigned VMs path: /Datacenter/vm/Pool-Static There are 2 pools defined:
Pool 0:
        Base path:/Datacenter/vm/Pool
Template path: /Datacenter/vm/Templates/Golden Master Minimum VM count: 3 Pool 1:
        Base path:/Datacenter/vm/Pool-Kiosk
Template path: /Datacenter/vm/Templates/Golden Master Minimum VM count: 2 The configuration appears to be correct.

C:\sun-vda\bin>

Can you help us, to know what happened ..??

Thanks

Luis Campos

Hi Jorge,

As you are using Windows XP, your firewall might protect the communication. Make sure that port 3809 is open.

Dear Friends,

We have tried to configure a VDAK environment with the following
components:
Solaris 10 x86 11/06
Sun Ray Server 3.1
Sun Virtual Desktop Access Kit for VMware 1.0 VMware Virtual Server Version 2.0.1 Build 33643 installed in Windows
XP
SP2
VMware ESX Server 3.0.1 Build 32039

We have followed the steps on
http://wiki.sun-rays.org/index.php/VDA_Cookbook and http://www.sun.com/bigadmin/features/articles/vda_kit_demo.jsp

Unfortunately the connection between VDA Client and VDA Service did
not
successfully establish. Attached are our VDA-Service Server and VDA-Server log files.

Your help/recommendations will be appreciated.

Thanks and Best Regards

Jorge Rivera
