Hi,
after a kernel-update (2.6.18-4 to 2.6.18-5) sound and USB-sticks are no
longer working on our Sun Ray Server (Debian Etch, SRS 3.1.1).
After reboot I compiled the kernel modules for 2.6.18-5 and used
modprobe to load the modules:
$ lsmod | grep ut
utadem 28764 0
soundcore 10016 1 utadem
utdisk 7620 0
utdiskctl 16104 1 utdisk
utio 22640 0
button 7440 0
autofs4 20516 1
A warm restart of the Sun Ray Service using utrestart did not help.
Do I have to do a cold restart of SRS or even to reboot the server in
order to get sound/USB-sticks working again?
