We have a room where a dozen people will be at a table, and want to be able to put any one of the user's screen up on the screen, with a minimum of hassle.

The smart card is just a token that a session is associated with. > > The thought is, as you walk into the room, you're given a laptop form factor > client, totally wireless, > and can walk between the 4 conference rooms and the 8 large displays, pushing > your client onto > whichever display you like. > Yes, you could set something like that up using say x11vnc or something, but the question remains, why on Earth would you want to, given that hot desking solves this problem much more elegantly. Why not have a few Sun Ray 270's in each conference room and also some regular Sun Ray 2's or 3's hooked up to the large displays. If you want your session on the large screens, stick your card in that DTU otherwise just use one of the 270's. Otherwise, you can experiment with VNC and specifically have a VNC viewer running in listening mode on the the large screens, then users can run x11vnc in connect mode to 'push' their display onto the big screen. > ______________________________________ > Kevin J.
