Today, nothing in SRSS or VDI will use a GPU at any level in the stack (Sun Ray Presentation Layer, Hypervisor, vRDP).

Just wondering.
Virtualbox has a 3D hardware acceleration feature.
The vrdp RCA feature might detect a rapid changing area from say Google Earth (which is a 3D graphics program that can use the 3D graphics support) and compress it for processing on the Sun Ray. If you can stack some low end nvidia cards in the Virtualbox server this might be an interesting solution for the more low end 3d graphics like Google Earth.
Unfortunately I did not have the time yet to see if this might work.

Kind regards,

Ivar
