I have a couple of similar(s) SR open. Precondition: SRS 5.4 with SROS 11.1.1.
- Athena Middleware and Athena Cards with ADPU 1.) Smartcard User get's locked from time to time and can only be unlocked with password (does not help as we have smartcard only policy for that kind of user) or Ctrl-Alt-Backspacke-Backspace which is a problem to us, because the load balancer connects to the next windows2008 R2 which will not hold the session of the user anymore, so the user calls and says he was kicked out of windows (in real he has now two different session on the wts2008 cluster). in the log it says something like (repeated ...) May 24 12:15:34 srss02 uttsc-bin[143]: [ID 170183 user.error] libpcsclite.so <-> pcscd -I -x :27 [socket connection failed: Broken pipe] or May 24 09:43:22 srss02 pcscd[9849]: [ID 144624 user.error] Err contacting instance :34. Abandoning or it creates a core. 2.) the opposite ... some user don't have smartcards running the default kiosk like in 1.) root@host <> : /var/opt/SUNWut/log > utkiosk -e session KIOSK_SESSION=uttsc KIOSK_SESSION_TIMEOUT_DETACHED=12000 KIOSK_SESSION_ARGS=-t 300 -- -l de_DE -E wallpaper -E theming -E fontsmoothing -r scard:on ts2008 KIOSK_ENABLED=yes User logs in with user & pass after some time some sessions start to loop ... (fancy there is no smartcard in the Sun Ray) May 24 12:15:34 srss02 uttsc-bin[143]: [ID 170183 user.error] libpcsclite.so <-> pcscd -I -x :27 [socket connection failed: Broken pipe] repeated 269 times and the load on the Sun Ray server is constantly increasing, until the user hopefully logs out or I kill them from time to time to keep the server healthy. The 2.) is quite new but very nasty ... hope to get rid of it soon with an IDR or so. regards, thomas -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Im Auftrag von Arthur Peck Gesendet: Freitag, 24. You're using smartcards, in particular the DoD CAC, for access and authentication 3. You're using uttsc to connect to Windows Terminal Services with smartcard passthrough enabled (-r scard:on) 4. You're using ActivClient as the middleware on your Windows servers Then please submit a Service Request to My Oracle Support with the details. If you have core files from pcscd in /var/run/pcscd, then be sure to attach those as well. I found pcscd core files on three of my six Sun Ray servers, which is odd since they are all supposed to be configured identically. There are several Service Requests open on this topic. Sun Ray engineering could possibly benefit from additional cases. They have been able to reproduce the stack trace from my core files, that's always a good thing!, so some sort of bug is possible. In my case, I see the Sun Ray reset, reconnect to the SRS FOG, the Kiosk session starts and reconnects to Windows, the user logs back in and starts working again only to be disconnected a few minutes later. Moving the user's CAC to another Sun Ray moves the reset scenario as well. That is, the user has the same experience on the second Sun Ray.
