oracle is not interested in communities, educating the young minds, nor
innovation -- they just want money... "only money" as it was said.
it should have been ibm winning that deal -- oracle is killing the Sun
culture, it could have not been more bad.
It's hard to find upper management people who can see beyond the next
quarterly report. Too much time on the golf course and not enough time
understanding how their market really works.
Welcome to out of control capitalism. Money is king and that's it.
And worse, the next few months money is king at least until the next bonus.
Yup. And any sleazy act is explained away with the wave of a hand,
saying "That's capitalism!" ...as if that can somehow magically excuse
any sort of shady behavior.
I'm an American, and generally speaking, I love our way of life here.
But unbridled capitalism without any sort of moral guidance or
longer-term thinking is just plain wrong. The entire American business
world will disagree, and probably even laugh at me for saying so, but we
know who the criminals are.
It's repulsive.
