Hi Jack. The first thing I'd do is replace the Pram Battery. You have to
open toe case to do so. The 500/600 series machines crap out when the
battery dies. If you still wish to spend money I highly recommend a
S900, either stock with more ram, or as a chasis that can be upgraded.
You could also buy one of the $35 C500 a list member has for sale- see
