About a week ago I started receiving notices about undeliverable
messages, which I have nothing to do with.
Some of them seem to have addresses that have Microsoft or MS.
I also received a message from "Microsoft" about a virus patch.

I am deleting all these messages.

Just curious if any of you have been getting similar messages.

Alan,

I too have had a rash of junk email/virus type stuff lately, but different from what you are getting. Both my Earthlink and SBCYahoo accounts were getting 5 or 6 emails a day, with a suspicious (virus ?) attachment. I don't open strange attachments.

I gave up on reporting them to my ISP(s). The Earthlink ones came from various accounts according to the header info. The return address was always [EMAIL PROTECTED] One would think that they would not let someone register such an email address.

I have yet to figure out if I actually had a virus. I was having strange problems with AppleWorks. If I used Window Shades to "roll up" a window, it would not redraw properly when I reopened the window. (the right side and bottom would have an inch or so of blank space). I tried updating both my software and AppleWorks, as well as running the Permissions Fix in OSX and running DiskWarrior. None of these fixed the problem with AppleWorks. I was planning to delete and reinstall AppleWorks. Earlier today, I ran the Norton Virus program (which I do about once a month, even though I have it set to always scan downloads, etc.) It ran while I was off at the bank and picking up office supplies, so I don't know what it found and/or fixed. But, AppleWorks now redraws correctly.

Makes me wonder if I had some flaky virus or something.

I have been forced to use MS Word and Internet Explorer a lot lately because of work related projects that I am doing with PC users. Suspect that is where I might have picked up something.

Nancy
