Mark, Try deleting preferences--for the game, Sound, Finder, ASLM, etc.--and restart. When something like this happens out of the blue, it's often corrupted preferences. If that doen't do it, the next most common problem is with the physical connectors. They get dirty and corroded no matter how well one takes care of them and need periodic attention, so any wire between the motherboard and the speakers is a suspect. HTH, paul -- Paul F.
