I'm not sure where the original post prior to Ron's of needing cdrom drivers, but I have another cd rom extension if someone needs one that works well. It's benign, small, and easy to install. When I first got my c600 (in what seems like a lifetime ago) I went a year manually loading each cd on my c600, then I found this and then used it there and later in my s900. It was made by Charismac, the same developer of Extension Manager 4.3 and APS Powertools. It worked great on through OS 8.6 but I can't recall if under OS9 because I might have just switched to CDSpeedtools. It's not OSX compatible.
Just make sure to remove the original CD Rom Toolkit that came with the system as well as Apple's CD Extension. Once you place a copy on your desktop, drop it onto your System Folder. Your OS will ask you if you want it installed in the Extensions Foler. Say YES. Restart your computer. Now you should have a working CD Rom. You need to make sure you only have ONE CD/Extension running at a time or they WILL most likely conflict with one another. This applies to almost any cd extensions so you would need to disable your Apple CD Extension. If interested, let me know and I will send it to you, whomever you are...
