Alan,

I was unable to use a G4 / 800 Sonnet on my S900 with numerous attempts
(using OSX of course).

It was bootable under 9.1 and 9.2.

Here is what I tried:

Added a jumper to J38 effectively removing onboard cache
Purchased 2 brand new OWC 128mb FPM 60ns dimms (tried interleaved in B4 and
A4 and just B4 only) - failed
Using a Mac Edition (retail) PCI 7000 (slot A) - failed
Twin Turbo - really failed
removed Firewire and USB - failed
No SCSI - used only Acard 133 (slot F & slot B) - failed

No matter what I tried with the G4 800 it WOULD not work in OSX

The Sonnet G4 / 450 has run for a month straight without a hiccup.

Best of luck,
RG
