I can't speak for Eric, but in my case, the Apple
Drive Setup wouldn't do anything while it was
formatted as a Linux device. As soon as I formatted it
on a PC, then the Apple utility saw it as a supported
drive and was happy to do its thing. This was using a
Mac 6500/250 with OS 9.1 I just acquired and hadn't
found a spot for yet so it was easy to move around. I
was doing this late at night tho, so I guess there's
always the possibilty I messed up somehow ... like I
didn't plug it in to the Mac.<g> At this point all I
remember is that I had to format it for PC first.
Pretty sure about it being attached tho. I tried
SilverLining on it and it wouldn't do it either. Still
.... it was late.
