What doesn't work?
I started out with a hub. This connected two computers and two printers.
Later I got a router. The computers connected to the hub and the hub connected to the router and the router to the cable modem. This works. This part still works.
Later still I got a TiVo. Then I thought it would be great to have a home network and run connections from the room where my computers are to various other rooms. I bought the wall plugs at Menard's and Lowe's I forget the brand name except that I wired them all as "B". I got a patch panel which collects all the wires from all over my house. I run a "b" cable from the patch panel to the hub and then the old stuff works like before.
I moved my s900 to another room. The TiVo is in another room. They don't connect on the network. I think that nothing wired to the patch panel works and I am at a loss for what to do next.
Are the non-working ones going through the hub? Do you get lights when you plug them in?
If not, try using a crossover cable to connect those ports. If you get a connection then, you could either get crossover cables for all that need them, or re-punch your patch panel. (I can never remember which wires to switch to make a crossover, so I'm not going to confuse you with misinformation there. Just look it up somewhere.)
If the crossover cable doesn't do the trick, then your cable or your connections are the likely problem. Check to make sure everything is well punched down, cables are plugged in securely, etc etc. Basically, take it one component at a time. You might want to hook up a test connection through your patch panel so that you can twiddle things in the same room on one piece of equipment.
