Now, what I want to do is access the data on my original SCSI 2GB that I had
in the old machine. I disconnected it and reconnected it to the the ribbon cable
in the new S900 (immediately after the 2GB SCSI that's already there) and to
one of the other multi-colored cables but when I power up, the added drive
does not appear on the desktop. It's not listed under Apple System Profiler or
Drive Setup as a device connected to the computer. The only place I see it is
within an application I have called SCSI Probe. It's listed there and identified w/ an ID# of 67 but I can't get it to mount. (The other SCSI drive is listed as
having an ID# of 69.) Any suggestions?

I would guess that you have SCSI termination enabled on both 2GB drives and so the one at the end of the cable isn't being seen, because it is beyond the termination of the other drive.

You need to make sure that termination is only enabled on the drive which is at the end of the SCSI cable (and it must be enabled on that drive).

You enable and disable SCSI termination by installing or removing jumpers (little black rectangles with metal in the middle) from pairs of pins. There should be a dia gram on the drive(s) indicating which pairs of pins enable termination.

Note that termination is different from termination power (term pwr).
