I don't know if your symptoms cover what I had. I got the bright idea to see if my s900 would start up with an OSX startup disk.

It killed the s900 real good. The keyboard wouldn't work.

What I discovered is that somehow just by trying a startup it overwrote the battery ram. The Keyboard is controlled by the battery ram.

I was able to get in touch with a smart guy who took pity on me. Disconnect the computer from everything so you just have the box. Remove the battery. Then with nothing connected to the computer, especially the power cord, press and hold down the CUDA for something like 10 seconds. Let the computer sit overnight to drain any residual charge in the Pram. The next day put it back together and reinstall the battery.

On startup zap the P-Ram 5 or 10 times. Then let it go, it should start if you overwrote the Pram. The smart guy told me this usually happens when people try to install security software that goes deep into the Pram. The corrupted Pram will kill your computer.
