What do you mean by "haven't even answered?" In response to your suggestion I posted the link to screen dumps showing all the trials, including testing with that suggested value set (and the about:config page up in one image), was something missing from them?

I have now looked at
http://www.tmr.com/~davidsen/SM-passwd-export/SS-pwdexp_deny.png. The
last Pref shown is not correct, it should be
user_pref("extensions.checkCompatibility", false);

Do you notice the difference? 'C' versus 'c'? ;)

I see the difference, I dragged and dropped the text exactly as Martin gave it to me in his post <hcvjsm$gs...@news.albasani.net> on the topic. Since there's no list (or I haven't found one) of all the config stuff and what it does, SeaMonkey continues to be properly useful by knowing a secret incantation passed down from sorcerer to sorcerer.

I'll try your magic spell after I get home.

I got home, it works.

If disabling of the compatibility was successful that can be seen when
calling the Add-on Manager. On the top there is a reminder.

And i just noticed, that with my current nightly of SM 2.1 the Pref no
longer works. Hm.

Of course it doesn't, you published the secret, therefore it must immediately be disabled or replaced with another.

Thanks for the clue on getting this version working, at least!
