In the spirit of lying, cheating, and stealing to get your computer to
behave:
Create a new folder. Move the contents of the problem folder to the new
folder. Point the filter to the new folder. Delete the old folder.
Compact. Close and restart SM. Rename the new folder with the old name
(the filter should automatically update).
If that doesn't work, it's not the folder's fault. ;-)
