That solved the problem. So when the wind picks up and they start
racing, I'll allow RayV to act as a server and do without email for a
few hours, then reboot and not let it act as a server until the next race.

You mean when it dies down?

If you can't get the rayv sorted out (I use linux so have to resort to
other methods), check out:

The snippets I have read said the first two attempts were canceled because of light and shifty winds, although I saw one report that the second was canceled because of rough water (3 foot waves; apparently these racers are too delicate for any wind or waves). Anyway, I got up this morning and decided to check my email before turning on the RavV, and there was email from cox saying that they had added ESPN360 to my package, so I went there, loaded their video player, and voila, they were showing the third race, which had been postponed a couple of hours because of light and variable winds, but said they were starting to pick up. The race soon started, and except for some rather major mistakes at the start, was well sailed. Alas, the US boat appeared to outperform the Swiss in every aspect, and won by a couple of miles. I don't really have a favorite, but I like tight racing and it doesn't look like this series will have any.

So I am about to rid myself of the RayV, and see what else ESPN360 offers; I think I saw something about Formula 1 on there.

But I fear I have gotten far off topic with this, so I will close by thanking the community for its help.
