Background:
I decided to install SeaMonkey 2.0.3 on my system yesterday. I also
intend to keep SeaMonkey 1.1.18 installed on my system. I allowed the
2.0.3 software to be installed in the default locations--I made
absolutely no changes to this process. My operating system is Windows
XP SP3.

Subsequent Actions Since Installation:
I established shortcuts on my Desktop for SeaMonkey 1.1.18 (one for
mail and one for browser) and SeaMonkey 2.0.3 (one for mail and one
for browser). Both shortcuts are working properly.

Problem 1:
I am having a problem with the entries listed under "Go" when I am
looking at the 2.0.3 mail window. Here is the problem:

When I click "Go" at the top of the screen (the line just under the blue
banner)I see the following:

Next >
Previous >
___________________
Mail Start Page
___________________
f...@pond.com >
Local Folders >
Microsoft Help >
Mozilla Help >
etc.

All of the letters for Next and Previous are in black letters and the
remainder of the entries are in gray letters. I need to know how to
make the gray letters black so that I can click on them--so that they
will take me to the items clicked. Any suggestions?

Problem 2:
I want to continue to use 1.1.18 as my default internet capability for
now while I learn more about 2.0.3. Thus, I would like to know where
the setting is on 2.0.3 that will cause messages downloaded to this
version to remain on the server. I want downloads of messages to
1.1.18 to be remove from the server. Can anybody help me find the
settings that will make this happen?

Thanks for any help or suggestions sent my way on either problem.

I have discovered that I may have a profile situation that needs to be
fixed. When I click Start>ALL Programs>SeaMonkey>Profile Manager I see
nothing but Default listed under Available Profiles. When I click on
Default, I am taken to the 2.0.3 browser page. I thought I understood
that my 1.1.8 Profile would automatically be copied to 2.0.3--was I
wrong? Should I do something about the Default profile situation? Can I
simply rename the Default entry to some other name or should I make a
new Profile? Will a new profile know all of the settings that were moved
from 1.1.18 to 2.0.3? Is it likely that fixing this situation will fix
my "Go" problem?
Guidance welcomed.

Frog, I see Mark is assisting you with this, but can I try a different tact.

Open one of your SM's mails and have a look at the Edit drop down list. Near the bottom you should see "Mail & Newsgroup Account settings". Select this, then, in the new screen, select your mail account and, more specifically, select Server Settings of your mail account. At the bottom of this screen there is a section called "Local directory" which shows where your mail account should be. Note this location.

Close this Version of SM Mail and open your other SM Mail, go to this same "Local directory" location.

Are these two locations the same??? (Hopefully not!!)

Report back.
