Note that clicking a link from Thunderbird to open in SeaMonkey falls under the SeaMonkey category "Links from other applications". For "Open links passed from other applications" at [Edit > Preferences > Browser > Link Behavior], you need to select the "A new tab in the current window" radio button. In that case, you don't need to use the scroll wheel; just select the link in Thunderbird. HOWEVER, all other non-SeaMonkey applications will also open links in a new tab instead of a new window. -- David E.
