I'm having a similar problem on a 64 bit build on Windows 7. I think there are inherent problems with 64 bit builds of Seamonkey. I have heard of multiple issues of Seamonkey not running correctly as a 64 bit application. Opera, another browser, Safari, and iTunes have had issues as well. If you compiled it yourself, there is little recourse. Any beta and alpha (Aurora?) versions are considered test builds. I also have many Linux modifications on my computer as well. Hopefully, someone will notice this and someone can file this as a bug and work on it.
