I guess my major problem was, I've learned pretty much what everything was
and what it did, without knowing what it was called. IOW, I really didn't
need to know what it's name, so long as I could work with it.
Example: I haven't a clue what 'modal status updates' are, let alone
NON-modal ones! That's for folks who learned about how to understand and
manipulate computers in class ~ what to call things, so others could follow
along.

I bought my first-of-many Macs in 1986, and have ever since stumbled along,
learning as I go. When I trip, I give a shout to the list, and some kind
soul helps out.
