There is a news site - theblaze.com - that has long been slow and jerky
probably because of all the video. But now it is spontaneously
reloading the home page as well as the linked pages every few seconds.
Besides slowing the site and wasting bandwidth it makes the back button
useless. Go to a linked page, and after a while try to go back, and the
page has reloaded so many times that you can only go back to the same page.

I first noticed the reloads a few days ago on my WEB box. It is running
WXP and has SM 2.20, 2.21 and 2.22. It happens in all those versions.
It also happens in 2.22 on a Win7 laptop. I did a fresh install of FF
25 on the laptop and it happens there.

So at this point just blame the site, right? W3.org says "336 warnings
and 392 errors. I did not try to get any detail. The page is very
"busy", and I have not checked a page in so long I don't know what is
typical.

However, the WXP box also has SM 2.7.2. The reloads do not happen on
2.7.2. That would seem to imply some combination of things.

I have a 30M cable connection with a Gigabyte router and NIC.

Anyone seen spontaneously page reloading on this or any other site?

Ray
You can prevent autoload by turning on :-
Edit ==> Preferences ==> Appearances ==> Content ==> "Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page"
